Secret Handshake was founded in 2007 by media professionals Dena Hysell and Joe Gressis. Since its inception, the company has worked on award winning projects for multiple outlets.
They recently wrapped production and are in post on the feature, A LITTLE HELP, a film by Michael J. Weithorn (King of Queens), starring Jenna Fischer (The Office) and Chris O’ Donnell. It premiered at the Seattle International Film Festival and won Grand Jury and Audience awards at the Indianapolis International Film Festival, the Long Island International Film Festival and the San Diego Film Festival.
Baxter & MacGuire, Comedy Central’ s flagship show for Motherload, was nominated in 2007 for an Emmy and showed at Sundance 2008. The pilot for Tony Millionaire’ s Drinky Crow, on Cartoon Network’ s Adult Swim, premiered to an enormous viewer response and was picked up for 10 episodes. They produced 8 episodes of the privately funded reality show America’ s Hottest Honey: The Search for the Next Video Vixen. The US rights have recently been optioned by 51 Minds for Ray J to brand.
They are currently in post-production on their next feature, HOME RUN SHOWDOWN, directed by Oz Scott and starring Matthew Lillard, Dean Cain, Barry Bostwick and Annabeth Gish. They are also currently packaging a reality show around acclaimed entrepreneur and chef Kathy Casey.
Their next feature, ST. VINCENT, directed by Walter Hill and starring Pierce Brosnan, Maria Bello, Ray Winstone and Gong Li is scheduled for production September, 2010. In addition they are currently in pre-production the feature THE SPEECHWRITER, to be directed by Jonathan Lynn and MODERN OBLIVION, to be directed by Peter Weller, starring John Malkovich.
